Challenge

Coca-Cola Latin America was in search of a gaming technology partner to develop a custom mobile experience that capitalized on its League of Legends sponsorship with Riot Games. As to be expected when working with a Fortune 100 brand, we faced tight timelines, shifting requirements, and high expectations. But for a seed-stage startup, it was an unprecedented opportunity to be working with a client of Coca-Cola's stature.

My Role

As the end-to-end project lead, I oversaw Side Missions from Rival's initial capabilities pitch to the program’s launch across 5 countries in Latin America. This involved directing the custom development of the platform alongside Rival's engineers and Coca-Cola's digital teams, plus coordinating go-to-market efforts with Coca-Cola Latin America and Riot.

Outcome

  • Secured a near seven figure deal with Rival's first blue-chip enterprise client.

  • Gained 50,000 new users for Coca-Cola Rewards in the first month of launch.

  • Over 60% of users completed the "full funnel" experience, from signup through mission completion through rewards redemption.
